LOW-ENERGY PESSIMISM

Dear Ella And Suse,

I am feeling particularly low-energy lately and generally apathetic. This
has at times been matched with a pessimistic outlook on life, particularly
with regards to my professional and financial goals. This is due to my
recent career change into the field of journalism, which I am passionate
about but am not sure is the best choice for my future. Please help.

Yours,
Apathetic
Dear Apathetic,
One of our favourite cures for feeling a lack of zing in your life, is to spend a good few days in the company of Zorba the Greek. Zorba's answer to most problems is to dance, and you need to take a leaf out of his book. Explain yourself in dance, as he does - publicly or privately - and if dancing isn't quite your thing, then translate his ability to embrace life with absolute enthusiasm into other forms of fitness, as we feel that exercise of any kind would help you get out of this temporary rut. The philosophical narrator in Zorba the Greek will also refresh your passion for the pursuit of the truth, and his musings will allow you to mull over your feelings about your future.
Yours,
Ella and Suse
