JILTED AND UNSURE
Dear Suse and Ella
My ex left me. He moved back to the other side of the country where is from and where his family is. After 6 months he has called, apologized and told me it was the biggest mistake of his life abandoning me like he did. He wants to talk to me about it and maybe determine if there is a future for us again. I know i want him back but the hard part is trusting. I need to find something that helps me stop being so indecisive, has a happy ending and is a tale of waiting for love despite the obstacles.
Yours,
Jilted

Dear Jilted and Unsure,
Your best literary role model is Gabriel Oak in Thomas Hardy''s Far from the Madding Crowd. Oak is the model of constancy, devotion and steadfast reliability. He is given a right royal runaround by Bathsheba Everdene, but 500 pages later, he gets his girl. Gabriel is jilted by the object of his love several times, but in this romantic but at times quite gritty novel, true love wins through. This novel would certainly help you to believe in the power of love overcoming the obstacles. While you are hesitating, however, read Siri Hustvedt's "Summer without Men", which describes a middle-aged woman whose husband has an affair, leaving him and her home for a few weeks in which she rediiscovers herself through female friendship - which is something you could be focussing on now too.
Yours,
Ella and Suse

I am astoundingly miserable that you are feeling thusly. As a woman, I can simply imagine what it might look like to do what needs to be done in fondness with a woman who anticipated getting a baby expulsion with your child, as you have no impact over what she does. I do think in any case, that everything will work itself out, and if both of you do happen to part up, I am sure another woman will encounter enthusiastic affections for you later on. You are basically being outstandingly down on yourself. You appear like a wonderful individual who is stressed over what’s to come.
