HOPELESSNESS

Dear Suse and Ella,
I am 30, I have been really depressed after losing the love of my life, I am still living in the memories of my past, regretting my choices and I cannot move on. I moved to a new town, trying to start a new life but I can't find a job, a love, nothing. I have the feeling that I wasted my time till now and that I don't have a solution, a direction, the necessary strength to really start a new life. Do you have any book to suggest to give me new hopes and strengthen my self-esteem?
Cheers,
An hopeless person
Dear Hopeless,
The novel that will pick you up out of your doldrums is Breakfast at Tiffany's. This short, brilliant, electric novel will fill you with zest for a new life in a new town, inspiring you to take on an approach to existence similar to that of Holly Golightly, who lives in the moment, making the most of what she has, and is always open to new experiences. Her life is by no means ideal, as she has no money and no routine, but her spirit and pluck are enough to help her to sail through adversity. Miss Golightly is a woman with a past, a dud relationship in her background, which she has now turned her back on. Her unconventional attitude and her brazen ability to seduce and impress are a fine mode to emulate, at least as a start as you leap into your new existence. While Holly is not a paradigm of a role model, she has much to teach in terms of believing in yourself. Read this, and start looking to the future.
Yours,
Ella and Suse
